Why this happens
Ezetimibe works by reducing the amount of cholesterol your body absorbs from food in the small intestine. Vitamin B12 is absorbed through a different pathway and does not interfere with how ezetimibe works. Likewise, ezetimibe does not prevent the body from absorbing or using vitamin B12.
What you should do

You must not take this medicine if you have moderate or severe liver disease. If you are taking it alongside a statin, your doctor will need to perform regular blood tests to check your liver function.

Contact your doctor immediately if you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness. This is especially important if you are taking ezetimibe in combination with a statin, as it can rarely lead to serious muscle breakdown.

Drinking excessive amounts of alcohol for long periods can reduce the amount of Vitamin B12 your body is able to absorb. If you are taking B12 to treat a deficiency, it is best to keep your alcohol intake within the recommended low-risk limits.
