Why this happens
Lixiana is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) that prevents clots. Cod liver oil contains omega-3 fatty acids, which also have a mild blood-thinning effect by making platelets (the cells that help blood clot) less sticky. When used together, these two effects can add up, making it harder for your blood to clot if you are injured.

If you do take both, watch closely for signs of unusual bleeding, such as blood in your urine or stools, dark tarry stools, or bruises that appear for no reason.
